American Red Cross

Burlington Farmers’ Market
The weekly market is held at Burlington Outlet Village (Next to Designer Home Warehouse) from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. every Sunday through October. Local farmers and craft vendors are waiting to serve you at this great weekly event, offering easy interstate access, a central location, and ample parking. Canned Food Drive to Support Loaves & Fishes
An on-going canned food drive is being held every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at Designer Home Warehouse in Burlington Outlet Village. All donations will support Loaves & Fishes Christian Food Ministry. To thank donors, DHW is offering 10 percent off a single item for every two cans, with no limit; offer may be redeemed multiple times per day. Musical Chairs – Countywide Concert Series

This event will be held on Fridays during the summer with concerts from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and movies beginning at 8:30 p.m. rotating in four locations across the county: Graham, Burlington Parks, Downtown Burlington, and Downtown Mebane. The Musical Chairs outdoor concert series gives local talent around the surrounding area a chance to perform in a comfortable setting. Patrons and concertgoers are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in the park or visit a downtown restaurant for a delicious meal.

Monthly Market
Every second Saturday of the month, Mebane’s Woodlawn Community will be hosting a market for local venders from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Buy locally made items and foods in Alamance County’s newly renovated Historical One-Room School House, located at 4408 Mebane Roger’s Road in Mebane. Statewide Celebration of Science
A multi-day celebration of science and technology in North Carolina will take place in venues across the state in September. Organized by UNC's Morehead Planetarium and Science Center, the festival will showcase science through participatory activities that include tours, exhibits and performances for all ages. Festival highlights will include the immensely popular BugFest at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh and the new UNC Science Expo at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. 9/12 2nd Sunday Anniversary Special Exhibit at TylerD Studios from 2:00-5:00 p.m.
TylerD Studios Welcomes Jill Troutman & Jude Lobe. Jill Troutman is a classically trained artist and painter who creates original paintings and custom artwork for residential and commercial settings. Jill is highly sought after for her unique wall art, custom murals and contemporary art pieces that match any color palette and style. You can find Jill Troutman’s original art in homes, office spaces and restaurants throughout the U.S and internationally. Jude Lobe says, “I paint because I love the process of creating. It’s like consciously dreaming, letting thoughts come and go and grow while time stands still. 9/17 United Way’s Community Event at City park in Burlington from 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
A thousand people are expected to pack the City Park Amphitheatre for a night of fun-filled dancing and food, featuring the Fabulous Lumpsters! 9/18-9/19 Burlington Carousel Festival
at Burlington City Park on Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. & Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Annual Burlington Carousel Festival marks its 23rd anniversary. The Dentzel Menagerie Carousel, one of the most historic treasures in Burlington, will celebrate its 100th Anniversary at this year’s event. Artists and craft exhibitors display and exhibit their work in Artists’ Alley, which features original Carousel wood carvers as well as paintings and much more. The children's area offers families the opportunity to take a ride on the Carousel or one of the other amusement activities that are permanently located in the park. at Di Georgio’s Catering in Burlington from 7:00 p.m. to midnight
Join us for a night of good food, wine, music and more! The event will include a wine tasting by West Burlington Wine Company, live and silent auctions, and entertainment by comedian Tom Keller and DJ Aaron Silver. Tickets are $35 and
